Erect annual, 15-30 cm, stems and peduncles spreading-hairy. Leaflets 1-2 cm, elliptic to ovate, the terminal one stalked. Inflorescence 1-2 cm wide, ovoid, 10-20-flowered. Flowers cream to yellow, becoming brown in fruit; pedicels at least as long as the calyx tube, at first erect becoming deflexed. Calyx c. 4 mm, glabrous, teeth ciliate. Corolla 7-8 mm; standard not folded, denticulate. Fl. 4-5. Forests and macchie, rocky slopes, 200-650 m.
