Procumbent to ascending perennial, 10-30 cm. Stipules ovate-triangular, free portion often broad and foliaceous. Leaflets 0,8-1,5 cm, ovate to ovate-elliptic, slightly retuse. Inflorescence ovoid, 1,5-2,0 cm wide, sessile, subtended by the 2 uppermost leaves or stipules. Calyx tube 10-nerved, sparingly villous, closed by a 2-lipped callosity; teeth unequal, subulate, acute. Corolla pink or purple to cream, to 18 mm. Fl. 5-8. Woods and forest clearings, pastures, etc., 600-1600 m.
