Erect or ascending perennial, 25-40 cm. Stipules adnate to the petiole for 4/5 of their length, free portion triangular-ovate to lanceolate. Leaflets 1,5-4,0 cm, oblong-elliptic, obtuse or slightly emarginate. Inflorescence ovoid, elongating in fruit, 2,0-2,5 cm wide, pedunculate. Calyx 10-nerved; tube cylindrical, villous on the inner surface, throat closed by a callosity, teeth unequal, lanceolate-subulate, plumose, diverging in fruit, acute. Corolla pinkish, to 25 mm, c. 2 x as long as the calyx. Fl. 6-8. Subalpine meadows, 1800-3300 m.
