Ascending or erect annual or biennial, 20-60 cm. Stipules ovate-oblong, the free portion abruptly acuminate-aristate. Leaflets 1-2 cm, obovate to rhomboid. Inflorescence globular to ovoid, 1,5-2,0 cm wide, sessile. Calyx tube 10-nerved; throat open with a ring of intruding hairs, patulous-hairy; teeth ± equal or the lowest one the longest, 3-5-veined at base, c. ½ x as long as tube, blunt. Corolla white or cream with pinkish tips, c. 13 mm, 1 ½ -3 x as long as the calyx. Fl 5-7. Grassy places, rocks and boulders, s.l.-350 m.
