Densely adpressed-pilose annual, 12-40 cm, ascending to erect. Leaflets 4-8-paired, 5-20x 1-3 mm, obovate to linear, truncate, retuse or obtuse; stipules c. 2 mm, ovate; tendrils simple. Peduncle obsolescent. Pedicels shorter than calyx. Flower 1, 15-18 mm, ± bicoloured. Calyx 7-8 mm, with an oblique mouth, rather gibbous, adpressed-pubescent; teeth almost as long as or shorter than tube, narrowly linear-lanceolate. Standard with the limb adpressed-pubescent on the upper surface, yellow, narrow, c.2/3 as long as claw;wings dark brown at apex. Legume oblong-subrhomboid, 25-30 x 7-8 mm, densely adpressed-pilose-villous. Seeds 6. Fl. 4-6. Quercus aegilops scrub, steppe, dry igneous scree, roadsides, etc., 800-2000 m.
