Resembling G. tuberosum in its rootstock and basal leaves, but differing in usually having a pair of cauline leaves below the first dichotomy, glandular-pubescent pedicels, and beak attenuate into a longer style. A slender plant, with a few-flowered inflorescence. Fl. 4-6. Quercus, Juniperus, and Cedrus forests, mountain slopes, 500-1900 m.
