Very similar to H. lanuginosum but stems always pubescent to puberulous; sepals lanceolate to oblong or rarely ovate, usually subacute to obtuse with margin glandular-denticulate or -ciliate, always with 6-16 superficial black dots or streaks; Petals 8-12 mm, sometimes with superficial black glands. Fl. 5-7. Calcareous or volcanic rocks and macchie, 60-1000 m.
