Perennial herb with a woody base. Stems 39-48 cm long, erect or ascending, branched in upper part, glabrous, glaucous, fragile. Leaves 6-13 x 5 -12 mm, ovate-cordate, coriaceous, with ± prominent veins, glaucous, glabrous, rounded at apex, with intramarginal and superficial pellucid glands above and intramarginal glands beneath, without an apical black gland; pedicels 0.5-1.5 mm. Inflorescence paniculate, 4-12-flowered. Bracts and bracteoles with superficial long amber glands and ciliate with marginal black glands. Pedicels 1-4.5 mm in flower, 2-6 mm in fruit. Sepals 2.5-3 x c. 1.5 mm, ovate, glandular as in bracts and bracteoles, Petals c. 7.5 x 3-4 mm, pale yellow, persistent, with superficial amber glands and with black glands at apex only. Capsule reddish, c 7 x 4 mm. narrowly ovoid. Seeds c. 3 x 1 mm, elliptic, rugulose, pale brown. FI. 8. Limestone rock crevices. 1750 m.
