Stems 15-50 cm, erect, glabrous, irregularly black-gland-dotted. Leaves on main stem 10-30 mm, linear, with revolute margins, retuse, with apical black gland and often also superficial ones, glabrous, sometimes glaucous. Inflorescence cylindric or rarely pyramidal, many-flowered. Sepals oblong, rounded, with sessile or subsessile marginal glands or subentire, usually with 2 longitudinal black-glandular streaks. Petals 7-10 mm, usually black-gland-dotted but without marginal glands. Capsule 5-7 mm, ovoid, shortly rostrate. Fl. 4-6. Calcareous steppe and hillsides, field margins, 360-1150 m.
