Stems 15-55 cm, erect or decumbent, 2-lined, with branches widely spreading, usually forming a pyramid. Leaves 3-20 mm, triangular-Ianceolate or rarely narrowly ovate to linear-oblong, amplexicaul, undulate, sometimes with medium to small pellucid dots. Sepals oblong to ovate-oblong, rounded or apiculate, entire or denticulate, without black dots. Petals 5-7 mm, without or occasionally with one superficial black dot. Capsule 3-5 mm, ovoid, with longitudinal vittae and occasionally a few lateral vesicles. Fl. 5-9. Open dry stony and sandy ground and cultivated fields, s.I.-1250 m.
