Like I. suaveolens but bract and bracteole unequal, not navicular, bract green, sometimes keeled, bracteole thin, transparent, not keeled; flowers solitary, yellow, usually with brownish or purplish lamina to falls, or rarely bluish-purple throughout; perianth tube 5-9 cm. 2n = 16. Fl. 4. Sparse Quercus scrub, 400-900 m.
