Like I. reticulata but bract and bracteole thin and papery, white or slightly greenish, with distinct cross-veins. Flowers blue with a conspicuous dark-blotched zone around the yellow median ridge; falls with claw 1-1.2 cm broad; lamina broadly ovate, obtuse rounded, 1.7-2.1 x 1.4-2 cm; style branches 3.6-5 cm, 1.6 cm broad at base of lobes; lobes 1.1-1.5 x0.6-0.8 cm. 2n = 16. Fl. 3-4. Mountain slopes and in open coniferous forest, 1300-1500 m.
Endemic. Euxine element.
