Perennial herb? Stems erect, more than 30 cm, shortly branched above. Leaves lanceolate , glabrous, those on main stem with petioles triangular and amplexicaul at base ;leaves on axillary shoots narrower, entire, 25-50 mm, attenuate at base and subsessile. Inflorescence terminal, spike-like, 8-12 cm, axis glandular-villous, verticillasters densely 6-12-flowered, at least lower ones subtended by leaf-like bracts, upper shorter. Calyx 8-11 mm, divided to 1/2 into glandular-villous narrowly lanceolate teeth. Corolla c. 16 mm, tube slender and twice as long as 3-lobed lower lip; upper lip 1 mm, bidentate to base. Nutlets 3.2 x 1.5 mm, reticulate-rugulose.
