Procumbent perennial. Stems mostly simple, hairs either adpressed to subpatent and 0.2-1 mm , or dimorphic, some crispate and 0.2 mm, the rest patent and 1-1.5 mm , Leaves all cauline, shortly petiolate, elliptic to oblong-elliptic, 2-6 cm, entire or subdentate, adpressed-pilose. Verticillasters 2-flowered, floral leaves like the cauline ones, 1.5-2 x as long as flowers. Calyx 6-11 mm, adpressed-canescent, teeth subequal to tube. Corolla yellow , 22-30 mm. Fl. 5-7. Stony hillsides, steppe, fallow fields, s.l.-1850 m.
