Stems ascending from a woody base, 15-40 cm. Plant viscid-villous with numerous short glandular and long often eglandular hairs, lacking stellate hairs except on corolla hood. Cauline leaves subcordate, 20-35 x 23-40 mm, crenate-dentate, green, usually longer than petiole. Verticillasters 4-10 flowered, ± lax. Bracteoles linear, 0.5-1 x calyx tube. Calyx 10-14 mm, upper 1/4 infundibular; teeth 10, ± unequal, divergent, longer teeth triangular- or ovate-acuminate, 2-4 mm, shortly spinose. Corolla pale pink, c. 15 mm. Fl. 7. On limestone rocks, in shade or near streams, 50-900 m.
Endemic. Perhaps nearest to B. saxatilis. E. Medit. element.
