Stems ascending or erect, shortly villous with fasciculate hairs to 1 mm, or very shortly stellate-haired. Cauline leaves ovate-orbicular, or more narrowly ovate, 15-36 x 8-30 mm, base slightly cordate to truncate, crenate-dentate, stellate-haired and prominently veined beneath. Bracteoles narrowly linear, 24 mm. Verticillasters densely 6-10-flowered. Calyx 6-10 mm, tubular, narrowly and shortly infundibular above, limb sometimes oblique; teeth 10, divergent, narrowly triangular, with 0-0.4 mm mucro. Corolla pink or purple , 10-16 mm. Fl. 6-8.

A more virgate, slender plant than subsp, saxatilis and largely replacing it in the middle of the latter's Anatolian area.
