Stems 10-40 cm, decumbent or ascending, densely glandular-pruinose, sparsely hirtellous or not. Leaves broadly ovate to elliptic, 10-25 x 5-22 mm, rounded at base, craspedodromous, acute, densely glandular and sparsely covered in short stiff hairs, shallowly to conspicuously serrate , stiff and prominently veined beneath. Verticillasters 3-7, ± approximate, shortly pedunculate, 2-8-flowered. Calyx 6.5-10 mm, tube 11-veined, densely glandular and sparsely hirtellous, throat glabrous but base of teeth with exserted hairs; sub-bilabiate, teeth scarcely ciliolate, upper ones 0.8-1.5 mm, lower 1.5-2 mm. Corolla violet, 17-20 mm, tube widening beyond calyx. Gynodioecious. Fl. 6-9. On limestone rocks, 940-1900 m.
