Suffruticose pubescent perennial with numerous virgate stems 12-40 cm. Leaves fasciculate, linear, sessile or subsessile, 10-25 x 1-2 mm, obtuse, with revolute margins, sunken oil glands and dense very short curled hairs. Inflorescence dec1inate, secund; verticillasters 7-15, 6-flowered. Bracts linear, acuminate or shortly cuspidate but lacking long aristae. Calyx 6-8 mm, teeth c. 1/3 x tube, pubescent and glandular-punctate. Corolla violet-blue, 9.5-13 mm. Nutlets 2-2.1 x 0.7-0.9 mm, trigonous-ellipsoid, chestnut brown, verruculose, minutely puberulent at apex. Fl. 7-8. Igneous rocks, crevices and ledges, 1500-2200 m
