Differs from L. microphyllum by its slightly smaller, more distinctly reniform, brownish to purplish leaves with lamina 1.7-6 x 2-7 mm, with only 5-7 crenations; longer bracts, 9-11 mm; larger calyx, 11-13 mm, with deeper teeth more than 1/2 x tube; corolla rose pink, 26-35 mm, with transversely reniform, very shallowly emarginate lower lip. Fl. 7-8. North-facing limestone screes, 2100-2200 m.
