Perennial. Stems 14-30 cm, pubescent to pilose, glandular . Leaves broadly ovate to oblong-ovate, 14-28 x 11-20 mm, obtuse, ± mucronate, cordate, crenate- to doubly crenate-mucronate, pubescent to villous, glandular; petiole 10-40 mm. Floral leaves narrowly to broadly ovate or lanceolate, lower 16-25 x 14-16 mm. Verticillasters 1-3, 4-8-flowered, ± distant. Bracteoles 2.5-3.5 mm. Calyx 7-9.5 mm, teeth slightly shorter than tube, broadly lanceolate, Corolla rose or pale violet, 21-26 mm; tube 14-15 mm, straight, with annulus; upper lip 7.5-11 mm, deeply bifid, lobes divergent. Nutlets 2.6-2.8 x 1.3-1.5 mm, dark brownish-olive. F7. 5-6. Chalk and limestone slopes, ledges and scree, 1200-1350 m.
