Slender, many-stemmed suffruticose perennial, 10-25 cm. Differs from M. myrtifolia by its patent-hispidulous stems; more revolute, narrower, oblong-lanceolate leaves; less interrupted 5-10 mm inflorescence; obconical fewer-flowered verticillasters with 1-2 mm peduncles; calyx not bearded at throat, teeth subequal, narrowly Ianceolate, erect and 2/5-1/2 as long as calyx. Nutlets with a shortly acuminate apex. Fl. 5-6. Dry rocky limestone slopes, s.l.-900m.
