Subshrub to 40 cm, sparsely hirsute. Branches to 8 pairs per stem, to 4 cm. Leaves subsessile, cordate to ovate, 8-30 x 6-20 mm, obtuse or acute, ± herbaceous, ± glaucous. Spicules 10-25 x 8-15 mm. Bracts obovate or elliptic, 5-11 x 3-7 mm, acute or acuminate, ciliate. Calyx c. 5 mm, 2-lipped to c. 3/5; upper lip with ± broadly triangular teeth to c. 1/5, lower lip 1/10-1/5 x upper lip, with broadly triangular or triangular teeth. Corolla pink, 10-15 mm. Fl. 7-8. Shady rocks, 1500-2000 m.
