Subshrub to 80 cm, tomentellous. Branches to 10 pairs per stem, to 14 cm. Leaves petiolate to subsessile , roundish, ovate or elliptic, 3-30 x 2-25 mm, usually obtuse, veins not raised on lower surface. Spicules in paniculate inflorescence, c. 3-20 x 3 mm. Bracts elliptic, obovate or ±rhombic, usually obtuse and entire, 2-4 x 1-3 mm. Calyx 2-3.5 mm. Corolla white, 3-7 mm. Fl. 5-9. Dry slopes and rocky places, sometimes in partial shade, 400-1500 m.
