Dwarf shrub to 30 cm, eglandular. Leaves greenish, with minute stellate hairs and often glabrescent above, densely adpressed white-tomentose beneath, longer undivided hairs absent, cauline leaves small, oblong or ovate to broadly ovate, obtuse, shortly cuneate, rounded, truncate or subcordate at base, entire or indistinctly crenulate, 1.5-4 x 1-2.5 cm, petioles to 2 cm. Floral leaves shortly petiolate, oblong, about as long as verticillasters. Verticillasters 1-2, 6-l2-flowered. Bracteoles linear-subulate, adpressed white stellate-tomentose, 13-17 x 1-1.5 mm, curved upwards. Calyx 15-20 mm, densely adpressed white-tomentose, teeth spreading, subulate, unequal, 3-8 mm. Corolla yellow, 25-30 mm. Nutlets glabrous. Fl. 4-8. Pinus brutia forest, macchie, rocky slopes, s.l.-150 m.
