Shrub to 150 cm, Leaves greenish, glandular-puberulent, with loose stellate indumentum above, densely whitish or yellowish stellate-tomentose beneath; margins ± involute, white or yellowish; lower leaves triangular-ovate-lanceolate, cordate at base, crenate, 5-12 x 2-5 cm, petiole to 4 cm. Floral leaves oblong-lanceolate, shortly petiolate, to 2 x as long as verticillasters. Verticillasters 1-3, distant, 6-12-flowered. Bracteoles subulate, 15-22 x 1-2 mm, stellate-tomentose and glandular-hairy. Calyx 20-27 mm, viscid-stellate-tomentose, teeth subulate, 5-12 mm. Corolla 30-35 mm, upper lip brownish, lower lip yellow. Nutlets glabrous. Fl. 6-8. Limestone rocks, metamorphic slopes, macchie, Quercus scrub, fallow fields, s.l.-1100 m.
