Similar in facies, indumentum and flower colour to S. rosifolia but with narrower usually linear-oblong terminal leaflets, fewer flowers ) to the clearly spaced verticillasters, shorter pedicels , smaller calyces , and somewhat smaller corollas . Fl. 5-8. Rocky limestone and igneous slopes, soil slopes, with Pinus sylvestris, 1100-2200 m.
Endemic. lr.-Tur. element. Very close to S. rosifolia, occurring within the central parts of the latter's range.
