Perennial, 50-60 cm, simple or little-branched, densely adpressed white-tomentose, soon glabrescent, Middle cauline leaves linear-oblong, cuneate, acutish, enlarged and auriculate at base, 1-5 x 0.2-0.7 cm, finely crenulate-serrate, bearing buds in their axils. Verticillasters 3-10, 2-11 cm distant. Middle bracts ovate to orbicular, long acuminate , 1-2 x 1-1.5 cm, glandular-puberulent. Calyx 7-9 mm, with spreading eglandular hairs, teeth 2-3mm, lanceolate, with interspersed glands and short yellowish mucro. Corolla white, 10-12 mm, hairy and without brown markings inside. Fl. 5-7. Conglomerate scree and limestone cliffs, Quercus scrub, macchie, s.l.-800 m.
