Perennial, 15-50 cm, simple or little-branched, densely ± spreading greyish or white woolly, glabrescent. Middle cauline leaves oblong to elliptic and lanceolate, 1-4 x 0.5-1.5 cm, sessile, with rounded base, denticulate to dentate, mucronate with yellow mucro 1-2 mm, Verticillasters 4-15, 4-6-flowered, 1-4 cm distant, uppermost crowded. Middle bracts broadly ovate to orbicular-cordate, 0.7-0.8 x 0.5-1.1 cm, suddenly acuminate, densely ciliate. Calyx 8-9 mm, teeth triangular, acute, 2-3.5 mm, with crisped eglandular hairs, tube with eglandular and glandular hairs. Corolla yellow, 10-13 mm, hairy and with brown striae inside. Fl. 6-8. Open Pinus woods, Quercus scrub, vineyards, 830-1100 m.
