Perennial, 20-60 cm, simple or little-branched, densely adpressed white-tomentose below, loosely tomentose with spreading eglandular hairs and short glands above, glabrescent. Middle cauline leaves oblong-lanceolate to lanceolate-linear, 1.5-5 x 0.3-0.7 cm, acute, rounded or semi-amplexicaul at base, finely crenate-serrate. Verticillasters 4-8, 1-5 cm distant. Middle bracts amplexicaul, orbicular to cordate and reniform, acuminate, 0.9-1.5 cm, glandular-pubescent, ciliate. Calyx 7-8 mm, with short glands and less numerous eglandular hairs, teeth triangular-lanceolate, 2-2.5 mm, with yellow mucro to 0.5 mm. Corolla yellow, 9-12 mm, hairy inside. Fl. 6-7. Pinus brutia forest, serpentine rocks, conglomerate ledges and scree, s.l.-800 m.
