Perennial, 20-60 cm, branched, densely adpressed white- or greyish-tomentose, eglandular. Cauline leaves somewhat congested, internodes 3-6 cm, middle leaves sessile, lanceolate to linear-lanceolate, acute, 1.5-9 x 0.3-2 cm, entire or finely denticulate. Verticillasters 5-11, 6-flowered, 0.5-2cm distant. Middle bracts broadly ovate to orbicular, 0.7-1.7 x 0.7-1.2 cm, cordate, acuminate. Calyx 6-8 mm, densely pilose or tube glabrescent, teeth 1.5-2.5 mm. Corolla yellow, 8.5-11 mm, glabrous or papillose and with brown markings inside. Fl. 5-8. Limestone slopes, Pinus brutia-nigra forest, Quercus scrub, 200-1600 m.
