Suffrutescent perennial. Flowering stems 20-30 cm, pendent, fragile, unbranched, sparsely patent-pilose to hispid, glandular and eglandular. Cauline leaves ovate, 2.5-6 x 1.8-4.5 cm, narrowly crenate to crenate-dentate, apex obtuse, cordate at base, petiole 1-4 cm. Floral leaves shortly petiolate to sessile, similar to cauline leaves but smaller, cuneate at base, smaller than verticillasters upwards. Verticillasters approximate above, forming dense spike, lower ones remote, 4-10-flowered, ebracteolate. Pedicels 1-2 mm. Calyx ± regular, infundibular, 8.5-11 mm; teeth triangular to ovate-triangular, c. 1/3 x tube, tip spinescent; mouth sparsely hairy. Corolla white, 13-18 mm, tube exserted, annulate, upper and lower lips 4 and 8 mm respectively. Nutlets obovoid, 2.5 x 1.5 mm, apex round. Fl. 4-7. Limestone cliffs and crevices, 220-300 m.
