Suffrutescent perennial with sterile basal rosettes. Flowering stems 9-30 cm, sparsely patent-pilose, rarely densely tomentose with glandular and eglandular hairs. Basal leaves oblong-elliptic, 1-7 x 1-3.6 cm, obtusely crenate, apex obtuse, base cordate to truncate, sparsely pilose to densely velvety, rarely glabrescent; petiole 1.2-6 cm, Cauline leaves smaller, 1-2-paired, shortly petiolate to subsessile. Floral leaves 0.8-3.5 x 0.2-2.2 cm, subsessile, longer than verticillasters. Verticillasters 6-10-flowered, usually remote, 1-3 cm distant, 1-2 ± approximate above, rarely congested-spicate, 6-14 mm apart. Bracteoles herbaceous, lanceolate to linear, 2-9 mm. Pedicels 1.5-3 mm. Calyx ± sub-bilabiate, subcampanulate, 9.5-13 mm, softly pilose to tomentose with glandular hairs and/or sessile glands; teeth oblong-lanceolate or  lanceolate-subulate, upper 2-3.5 mm, lower 3-5.5 mm. Corolla white or pink, rarely yellowish in sicco, 14-18 mm. Nutlets oblong, 2.5-3 x 1.5-1.8 mm. Fl. 4-7 Vertical limestone cliffs and crevices, sometimes under Pinus brutia and Juniperus excelsa forest, 200-2000 m.
