Caespitose perennial. Stems slender, 7-13 cm, arcuate-ascending, very sparsely puberulent. Leaves distinctly petiolate , mostly ovate-oblong, to 16 x 7 mm, obscurely toothed except at cuneate to obtuse base, apex subacute. Bracts elliptic-lanceolate, reaching nearly to middle of calyces. Pedicels scarcely half as long as calyx. Calyx 5-6 mm, bilabiate to ·1/3, densely pubescent. Corolla purple, 1.5 x calyx. Fl. 6-7. Marble rocks, 1100-1450 m.
Endemic. Medit. element. Related to T. heterotrichum Rech. fil. From Latakia, which differs in its glabrous stems and leaves, and long dense hairs on the whole inflorescence.
