Caespitose perennial. Stems 3-5 cm, decumbent or ascending, velutinous canescent. Leaves subsessile, ovate-orbicular, 5-10 x 4-9 mm, entire or obscurely toothed near apex, base truncate or rounded, apex obtuse to subacute. Racemes 2-4 cm, few-flowered. Bracts ovate-elliptic, ± equal to pedicels or shorter. Pedicels subequal to calyces or longer. Calyx 4-5 mm, velutinous-hirsute, bilabiate to 1/3. Corolla purple, twice as long as calyx. Fl. 7-8. Vertical limestone rocks, and in mouths of caverns, 1300-1500 m.
