Bulb with blackish-brown tunic, new bulb forming beside old. Basal leaves2, linear, 6-30 x 0.1-0.2 cm, glabrous, exceeding inflorescence. Infloresence paniculate, 3-14 cm, hairy or glabrous. Cauline leaf 1, lanceolate, 2-5 mm broad, long-acuminate, equalling or shorter than flowers. Bracts ciliate. Flowers 1-4. Pedicels 3-4 cm, densely woolly above. Perianth segments yellow, narrowly ovate or oblanceolate, 11-14 mm, curling lind elongating to 18 mm in fruit, usually obtuse, woolly outside at base and on midrib. Capsule broadly obovoid. Fl. 2-4. Limestone rocks, Pinus forest, 10-1300 m.
