Erect annual; stems simple or branched, 10-30 cm. Leaves linear to broadly lanceolate, 10-30 x 4-10 mm, sessile. Flowers 10-20, subsessile in congested axillary glomeruli; hypanthium 0,5-1,5 mm, epicalyx absent; calyx, like hypanthium, glabrous, sepals c. 1 mm; petals always absent; stamens 4; stigma subsessile. Capsule globose, shortly exceeding the hypanthium. Fr. 10. Warm sulphur springs, stream sides.
