Annual herb. Stems tough, rugose, tomentose, branched. Leaves ovate, cordate, acuminate, crenate, adpressed-stellate-tomentose, palmately nerved. Sepals oblong-ovate, obtuse. Petals yellow. Carpels pilose, biaristate, dehiscing dorsally, much exceeding the persistent calyx. Fl.8-9.
