Annual. Stems ascending to erect, pilose with simple setae and some stellate hairs. Leaves ± orbicular, very shallowly lobed, crenate, pilose. Flowers borne in fascicles in the leafaxils. Epicalyx segments linear. Sepals broadly triangular, 2-4 mm. Petals hairy at the base, pink to white, 8-14 mm. Mericarps pilose, smooth, adjacent margins smooth. FI. 5-8. Steppe, fields, roadsides, waste places, s.I.-2000 m.
