Annual. Stems ascending, sparsely stellate-pilose. Leaves ± orbicular, shallowly 5-7-lobed, crenate, sparsely pilose beneath. Flowers borne in rather dense fascicles in the leaf axils. Sepals broadly triangular, accrescent in fruit. Petals glabrous, pink or whitish. Mericarps with the adjacent margins toothed. Pedicels spreading in fruit. FI. 4. 
Mediterranean area, Syrian Desert, Arabia, Sinai, N., N.W. & C. Iran, Turkestan, Afghanistan.
