Erect perennial perennating by leafy rosettes on very short stolons; stems 20-90 cm, 4-angled or winged, glabrous. Leaves narrowly lanceolate, 1-6 x 0,3-0,8 cm, coarsely denticulate, glabrous though usually with a few crisped hairs on the veins, narrowed at the base into a short petiole c. 0,5 mm, or sessile and decurrent. Inflorescence canescent, lacking glandular hairs. Flowers pink or purplish-pink; petals 5-11,5 mm; stigma entire. Capsule 7-11 cm; seeds obovoid, c. 1 mm, papillose. Fl. 6-8. Roadsides, fields, etc., s.l.-1640 m.
