Plant 10-20 cm. Leaves 4-8, ovate-oblong, obtuse, conspicuously net-veined, c. 2-3 x 1-2 cm, with short amplexicaul petioles. Stem glandular-pubescent, with some bract-like leaves above. Spike 5-15-flowered; bracts lanceolate, acute, equalling flowers. Rachis, ovary and dorsal surface of sepals minutely glandular-pubescent. Perianth globular, c. 5 mm diam., white; lateral sepals ±spreading. Epichile slightly exceeding perianth, recurved, obtuse, c. 2-5 mm, white; hypochile with thin papillae inside. Fl. 7-8. Mossy humid Picea and Pinus forests, 1300-1850 m.
