Stem 20-40- cm, glabrous, with 3-5 erect oblong-lanceolate, ±folded leaves near base, c. 5-15 x 0.5-2 cm; upper leaves 1-3, bract-like, acuminate, sheathing. Spike ± cylindrical, to 40-flowered; bracts equalling flowers, green. Flowers reddish to pink, rarely whitish; hood c. 3-4 mm diam. Labellum with 3 subequal lobes, rounded, c. 4 mm. Spur very slender, curved below, descending, to 15 mm. Fl. 7. Alpine to subalpine meadows, forest glades, 1000-2800 m.
