Plant 20-30 cm. Stem slender, slightly flexuous, with 2-4 linear leaves near base; lamina c.8 x 1 cm, spotted- or unspotted. Spike cylindrical, to 20-flowered. Bracts c. half as long as ovary. Flowers small, purple-violet to red, rarely white. Sepals spreading, ovate, obtuse. Labellum roundish in outline, c. 7 mm diam., with 24 dark purple dots near spur entrance, 3-lobed; lateral lobes ± spreading crosswise, obliquely oblong, obtuse; middle lobe ± quadrate-oblong, truncate. Spur filiform, equalling the narrow, slightly curved ovary. Fl. 4-5. Stony macchie, s.l.-550 m.
