Annual, eglandular-pubescent, with crisp retrorse hairs. Stems erect, to 45 cm, with widely spreading branches. Leaves linear or linear-lanceolate, to 11 x 2 mm, ± sessile, entire. Inflorescence lax; bracts longer than calyces, similar to leaves. Pedicels c. 1 mm. Calyx tubular-campanulate, c. 3,5 mm; teeth subequal, 0,5-1 mm. Corolla yellow, c. 6 mm, pubescent; tube c. 3,5 mm, broad; lower lip shorter than upper. Anthers c. 1,8 mm, exserted, glabrous, mucronate. Capsule ovate-elliptic, flattened and truncate at apex; seeds c. 1,7 x 1 mm. Fl. 9-10. Hills, 600-700 m.
