Annual herb. Stems up to 40 cm, erect, little branched, sparsely setose below. Leaves pinnatisect, the segments often dentate. Peduncles very elongate. Buds ellipsoid, 10-11 mm, setose. Petals pale red, each with a dark spot at the base, up to 15 mm. Capsule rounded at the base, subglobose, glabrous, up to 10 mm, ribbed. Disc flat. Stigmas 4-5. Fl. 4. Rocky places, 50-2100 m.
