Glaucous biennial. Stems usually solitary, 10-30 cm, hispid-setose to glabrous below, glabrous above. Leaves 3-4 x pinnatisect into numerous linear segments, 1-2 mm broad, the rachis hispid-setose, the segments long mucronate. Inflorescence complex, divaricate-paniculate, buds usually nodding, flowers and fruits erect. Buds ovoid-spherical, glabrous. Petals 1,5-2 cm, pink. Capsules narrowly elliptic, strongly ribbed, weakly torulose, 6-14 x 3-4 mm. Disc conical. Stigmas 4-5. Fl. 6-7. Shaley banks, screes, etc., 1000-1900 m.
Endemic; similar to P. armeniacum. Ir.-Tur. element.
