Similar to G. orientalis L. but more virgate in habit, leaf rosettes inconspicuous, flowering stems with numerous lanceolate-elliptic to linear-lanceolate cauline leaves, capitula smaller, 2.5-4 cm diam., numerous , calyx more deeply divided , and lower lip of corolla more deeply divided, segments lanceolate-oblong, acute. Fl. 7. Dry slopes, crevices of limestone rocks, 500-900 m.
