Differs from V. multifida by smaller stature cm); leaves 5-12 x 5-12 mm, regularly subpalmatisect, rachis 1-2 mm, lobes 5-7, narrowly linear to subulate, 3-5 x 0,4-0,7 mm, 3-4 x rachis, clearly revolute, very sparsely puberulent or glabrous, blackening when dry; leaves of shoot apex always divided like lower leaves; racemes 2-5 cm, 5-15flowered, pedicels elongated in fruit, 6-15 mm, 1,5-3 x bracts, densely puberulent with upward-curved adpressed 0,1 mm hairs: calyx usually 5-lobed, subglabrous or glabrous; corolla blue, capsule transversely elliptic, glabrous, sinus shallow, base broadly truncate; seeds cymbiform. Fl. 5-6. Rock ledges, scree, dry pastures, abandoned fields, 1850-2530 m.
