Suffrutescent, 4-10 cm, strongly branched. Stems decumbent to erect, ± rooting. Herbaceous shoots unbranched, with imbricate pairs of leaves connate at base. Leaves sessile, linear-oblong to oblanceolate, 5-12 x 1,5-3 mm, subcoriaceous, upper surface with long coarse crisp hairs, margins and lower surface sparsely hairy or glabrous; apex obtuse or acute, margins flat or slightly involute, entire or sharply serrulate. Raceme ± sessile, densely 15-30-flowered, with long dense crisp eglandular hairs. Pedicels 1-2 mm, much shorter than lanceolate bracts. Calyx lobes 5, linear, obtuse. Corolla bright blue or violet , 10-14 mm diam. Style 4-6 mm. Capsule elliptic, 4-5 x 3-4 mm, hairy, ± emarginate. Seeds ovate, c. 1 x 0,7 mm. Fl. 7-8. Limestone rock crevices, stony slopes, 2400-2900 m.
