Differs from V. anagallis-aquatica by racemes more frequently with glandular hairs, rather rarely glabrous; fruiting pedicels usually ± secund; style 2-3 mm; capsule ovate to subtriangular, 3-4 x 2,5-3 mm, 1,5-2 x calyx, distinctly pointed,with acute, sometimes ± acuminate apex. Fl. 5-8. Streams, rivulet;, ditches, marshy places, wet meadows, 1200-3000 m.
